Neocon is the annual launching pad for the newest innovations in contract furnishings. Following on the heels of the successful SAVA introduction, Stylex used this year’s fair to present two great new multi-use chairs: Brooks and Allround.
The Brooks chair, with its strong rectilinear feel, was a clear hit with the specifiers who came to check it out. Paul Brooks was on hand to take all visitors for a test drive of his namesake product. The versatile Brooks chair combines clean, modern design elements with contemporary thinking about multi-use applications. It may be ordered with or without arms in a range of options including: fully upholstered; plastic seat/back; upholstered seat/plastic back; upholstered seat/wood back; or wood seat/back. Counter and bar height stools are available to complement the stacking version. All non-stool models will stack 6 on the floor and 10 on their dolly.
Allround, designed by Iskos-Berlin, was equally well received. This line is unpretentious, but sophisticated in its appeal, perfect for dining, meetings, informal gatherings… in fact any activity where a low-key, flexible chair is in order. Allround achieves its appeal in a beguilingly simple fashion by taking simplicity of form and balance to the highest level. Stacking 10 on the floor and 18 on their dolly, a variety of wood veneer and upholstery options complete the picture.
Both Allround and Brooks are GreenGuard certified, as are all Stylex products.
